Exposing Corruption and Defending Filipino Rights

The Philippines stands at a crossroads. Decades of systemic corruption, political dynasties, and historical revisionism have entrenched an elite that governs with impunity while millions struggle with poverty, injustice, and misinformation. As Filipinos, we deserve transparency, accountability, and good governance—yet what we see today is a government that prioritizes power over people, self-interest over public welfare.

This blog exists to counter that. It is a service to my fellow Filipinos, a platform dedicated to unveiling the realities of our nation—especially the corruption and abuses of Bongbong Marcos Jr. and his cabal in government.

The Return of the Marcoses and the Whitewashing of History

Ferdinand Marcos Sr. ruled the country with an iron fist, leaving behind a legacy of human rights abuses, cronyism, and an economy that was gutted by plunder. His ouster in 1986 was a statement from the Filipino people: never again. And yet, through decades of disinformation, revisionist narratives, and political maneuvering, the Marcoses have returned to power—this time under the presidency of Bongbong Marcos Jr.

His administration has continued the long-standing tradition of nepotism, corruption, and authoritarian tendencies, shielded by an extensive propaganda machine that distorts history and suppresses dissent. Media suppression, attacks on journalists, and the strategic use of trolls to silence critics have become hallmarks of this regime.

Corruption and Self-Enrichment at the Expense of the People

Since taking office, the Marcos Jr. administration has failed to address the most pressing issues affecting Filipinos: rising inflation, deepening poverty, and an economy struggling under debt. Instead, government resources are funneled into lavish international trips, non-transparent budget allocations, and the appointment of loyalists rather than competent public servants.

Corruption is not just an isolated incident; it is systemic. Large-scale projects, infrastructure spending, and government contracts continue to be breeding grounds for kickbacks and under-the-table deals. The same pattern of governance that enriched the Marcos family decades ago is repeating itself today.

Attacks on Democracy and the Rights of Filipinos

Beyond economic mismanagement, the Marcos Jr. administration has demonstrated a dangerous trend toward eroding democratic institutions. Freedom of speech is under threat, with critics facing harassment, lawsuits, or worse. Activists, journalists, and ordinary citizens who dare to speak the truth are branded as enemies of the state. Laws designed to protect the people are instead wielded as weapons against dissent.

Moreover, the culture of impunity persists. Extrajudicial killings, red-tagging, and human rights violations remain rampant, continuing the blood-stained policies of past administrations.

A Call to Action: Demand Accountability

The power of an informed citizenry is the greatest threat to a corrupt government. We must educate ourselves and others, challenge misinformation, and hold those in power accountable. This blog will serve as a tool for awareness, exposing the truth behind the headlines and providing critical analysis of policies that affect our daily lives.

If we do not speak out, if we do not resist, then history will repeat itself—only this time, the consequences may be irreversible. The Philippines is ours, not theirs. It is time we reclaim it.

Join me in this fight for truth, justice, and genuine democracy. The battle is not over, and our voices matter more than ever.

The Marcos Administration’s Assault on Sovereignty and Rule of Law

History has shown that those intoxicated by power eventually overstep their bounds, mistaking their momentary control for invincibility. The administration of Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has now demonstrated precisely this folly, trampling on legal principles and constitutional safeguards in a brazen display of political opportunism. In its reckless pursuit of consolidating authority, the Marcos regime has blatantly violated the rights of former President Rodrigo Duterte, exposing both its authoritarian tendencies and its profound ignorance of international law. The Illusion of Unchecked Power Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The current administration’s actions suggest a dangerous detachment from reality, a belief that the Office of the President is above scrutiny. It is reminiscent of the cognitive decay induced by illicit substances—once the mind is affected, there is no telling what reckless behavior will follow. Marcos Jr. and his allies have g...

The Philippines as a Pawn: How U.S. Interests Override Filipino Sovereignty

The recent statements by AFP Chief Gen. Romeo Brawner, urging the Northern Luzon Command to "prepare for any eventuality" regarding a potential Taiwan conflict, should alarm every Filipino. His remarks—emphasizing that the Philippines will inevitably be drawn into a war due to its proximity to Taiwan and the presence of 250,000 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) there—highlight a grim reality: the Philippines is once again being positioned as a pawn in a geopolitical struggle where it has little to gain and everything to lose. U.S. Interests and the Philippines’ Role in a Proxy War The United States has a long history of securing its global hegemony through proxy conflicts, where smaller nations bear the human and economic cost of great power rivalries. Ukraine's ongoing war against Russia offers a sobering example. The U.S. supplied military aid, intelligence, and diplomatic support, but it is Ukraine that suffers destruction and loss of life. A similar fate may await the ...
